This course covers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and provides the
skills needed to recognize and respond to Cardiovascular Emergencies and
Choking for Adults, Children and Infants. This course meets
legislation requirements for many settings and industries in BC
including daycare centres, primary schools and includes the latest CPR
guidelines and training in the use of an Automated External
Defibrillator (AED); 5 hours
On successful completion which includes hands-on participation
throughout the course and a short ten (10) question written test, a
certificate valid for three (3) years will be issued.

This basic one-day (8-hour) first aid course offers lifesaving first aid
and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or
home. Delivery includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and
training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
This is an ideal course for those students would like basic life support
courses in a one-day format. You can be confident in your life saving
skills after participating in this course.
On successful completion which includes hands-on participation
throughout the course and a short twenty-five question written test a
certificate valid for three (3) years will be issued.
Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need more training due to work
or licensing requirements or for those who simply want more knowledge to
respond to emergencies at home or in public. Often required for those
who work in child care or early childhood education workplaces, nursing,
RMT's or dental offices.
The course covers a variety of topics from basic first aid to
cardiovascular emergencies, CPR Level C (adult, child and infant),
choking and breathing emergencies, bleeding control, and prevention of
disease transmission to more in-depth topics such as sudden medical
conditions and injuries to the head and spine.
Upon successful completion, a 3-year certificate in Standard First aid
and CPR Level C + AED.
Comprehensive two-day course designed to meet the needs of those
expected to provide first aid in a marine environment. The course uses a
combination of lecture, discussion, and scenarios taken from the
marine/fishing industry to teach the required knowledge and skills.
Course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport
Publication (TP) 13008 E.
Designed for any person who wants to obtain a rating certificate,
endorsement, or a Master or Chief Mate limited certification, and for
those providing first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-coastal
voyage, class 2, or on a vessel on sheltered waters.
Certification length – 3 years. Transport Canada certification issued
directly by the Canadian Red Cross.
